When I attempt to obtain a fix, the program will search for a lock, obtain a lock, update the coordinates or street address, depending on the view selected, then hang. The gps does not shut down, the touch screen is inactive (except to return to "bright" backlight level after timed dim), scroll bar doesn't work, etc.

Normally I can power off, but on 2 occassions had to soft reset. Upon restart the address/coordinates display the previous location, not the location obtained immediately prior to the hang.

I have uninstalled the program, restarted the 6800 twice, reinstalled the program from the onboard CAB file. Same issue.

What additional troublshooting information can I provide to assist in resolving this issue?

Well, the first few days I had no problems with 9.9.8a. Now, everytime it gets a sat lock, the device freezes and I must soft reset. The device is a Samsung Omnia with WM6.1 and I have not added any additional software since installing 9.9.8a. Hopefully you can get me fixed. Thanks.

You have 0.9.9.8a ? Will send you 0.9.9.8r, in which we found and fixed the root cause bug of all the freezes etc. So far no user who has 0.9.9.8r has reported any stability problems.

How do I know if I have version a or r? When I check "About" from within GPSToday, it simply lists version 0.9.9.8 with no letter...

Any chance the new betas work (softkey methods) with the new WM 6.5 builds? Want some testing?

versions a and r were beta test versions some users were testing before the public release. if you downloaded gpstoday 0.9.9.8 from the main website or any 3rd party website, you have the final release version which came after the beta versions.
